Bre first started practicing yoga in 2009 when she moved to Toronto to continue school. She began her practice under the guidance of Daniel Lacerda, (also known as Mr. Yoga) and discovered the intricate and exciting journey known as ‘yoga’ that she would continue to fall in love with to this day.
She quickly found that yoga keeps her focused, grounded and appreciative of the small, (but important) things in life. She loves the feeling of calm that overcomes the body and mind during her practice. Bre believes that taking some time for yourself each day, (even just a few moments of silence accompanied with breath), is one of the most beneficial components of a healthy lifestyle.
Meeting so many unique individuals who continue to inspire her is just one of the many reasons why she wanted to join the MYH team. Bre continues to practice yoga because the benefits are so evident not only physically, but mentally as well. Yoga allows Bre to focus on the things that make her most happy; including time for travel, her passion for art & photography, family & friends, and of course her dogs.
Bre graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University in Art History, completed the Art Fundamentals program at Seneca College and is working towards a certificate in Digital Photography at Mohawk College. Bre completed the Moksha Level 1 Teacher Training in July of 2014 in Kelowna, B.C, and the Moksha Flow training in Los Angeles in 2015.
