After trying her first yoga class in New York, Alex started practicing Moksha in Burlington in 2009 and was hooked. She became a part of the Energy Exchange program at MYH upon the studio opening in 2010 and with the encouragement from cousin and teacher, Ashley Avella went on to complete the Moksha Yoga Teacher Training in Victoria, BC in June, 2011.
Alex has since taken Restorative Yoga Training (Toronto, 2012), Moksha Flow Training (Kelowna, 2013), Paddle into Fitness Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Training (Mexico, 2013), Xen Strength Yoga with Weights (2013), and Barre Fitness training (2015/2016).
Alex is inspired by those around her and through physical activity. She loves working out with friends and trying new exercise programs, while learning more and more about the amazing mind-body connection that exercise has.
